Thank you for writing something for me. With the exception of the do-not-like stuff, please take any and all of this as optional suggestions only, and do what works for you. Not all of the stuff I like, for instance, may be applicable to all the fandoms I've requested; choose what makes sense to you.
Do not like: darkfic in general, incest, humiliation, graphic violence, PWP or graphic parts-and-fluids sexual descriptions (no moral objections, it's just not what I enjoy reading), blatant out-of-characterness, rape/dubcon, Christmas themes (again, not opposed to their existence in general, just not Christian myself), coronavirus/quarantine references etc.
Enjoy in particular: work (in all definitions) and people being competent at it, hurt/comfort, futurefic, ensemble pieces, playing with language(s), cuddling, scenes from everyday life.
Genfic is good, shipfic is good, although in the case of the latter I’d rather have a story that has something going on as well as pure romance, whether it’s a separate plot thread or a characterization arc. (I hope that’s not too incoherent, sorry!)
I'm open to treats if anyone is so kind.

Growing Up Weightless (John M. Ford) - worldbuilding
The society of the Moon (sorry, Luna) is described in so much loving detail that I’d just like to know more about it. Some random ideas: How about language? The language they use incorporates a lot of non-English words; what’s its history, are there different dialects by city/generation, was it deliberately adopted or just the result of a linguistic melting pot among settlers, how do non-Lunar people react to it, is it formally considered a language (taught in schools, etc.)? Or: Anything to do with music on the Moon would be great (Albin Ronay is my favorite character, you’re welcome to bring him directly, indirectly or not at all, as you prefer). Or: There’s something of an unspoken class system, with descendents of Names like Matt’s family at the top and new arrivals from Earth at the bottom; what kind of problems does this cause, and is it changing? Or: How does the Moon look by the time Matt is his father’s age, or what did it look like when Albin was Matt’s age? Or: A little Terkel-esque “working” anthology, a day in the life over various jobs on the Moon? Or: We see a couple of “new religions” that have developed post-off-Earth settlement, but how are the existing Earth religions followed on the Moon? Or: just a slice of life in general, anywhere, in any context.
I’d be glad to hear from any of the characters in the book, or from original characters; feel free to play with formats (epistolary, conferencing or other online systems like the ones in the book, official documents, radio, ???) as well.
Juniper, Gentian and Rosemary (Pamela Dean) – Becky
I’m always about equally fascinated and frustrated by this book, and Becky, along with Gentian’s other three friends, is what I like most about it—they have the most interesting takes on the themes of the novel, femininity and gender in general, religion, art and science, conventionality and unconventionality, romance, togetherness and solitude, what you have in common with people and what makes you different from them. I’d love a missing scene from the book, futurefic, or anything from Becky’s perspective, especially if it provides a bit of comforting closure for the ending, or else a canon divergence where things go better in the first place. Becky/Gentian would be great if you want to do that, Becky & Gentian equally welcome, all other characters welcome too.
Lost Tomb Reboot - Huo Daofu, Wu Xie, Xiao Mei, Wu Erbai
You do not need to include all these characters, whichever you’re interested in writing is fine!
・ Huo Daofu is such a fascinating character: his competence, his sharp-edged precision (and the contrast when the situation is severe enough to get him rumpled), his sarcasm and his reluctant but painstaking care, the weirdness of his background. I’d love to read his perspective on the events of LTR (especially given that a lot of it is probably “and then Wu Xie did something EVEN STUPIDER, why do I put up with this man and when did I end up one of his team”), and I'd like just as much to see what happened to him afterward. I kind of have a tendency to ship post-canon Huo Daofu/Bai Haotian (they’re both ultra-competent, needy, stubborn, loyal trolls...), and I’m also okay with the fanon that Huo Daofu is Wu Xie’s bitter ex (or nursed an unrequited crush for a long time), but you can do anything or nothing with these as you prefer.
・ I would love to see Xiao Mei and Wu Erbai interact post-canon: he never had children, and the one family child, his Xiao Xie, was always fixated on Wu Sanxing. Xiao Mei has already been through some of the experiences of loss/betrayal, pain and recovery (physical and mental) that Wu Erbai is faced with at the end of LTR.
Any other characters very welcome also. (Feel free to let Piaopiao live if that works better for your story! God knows she deserves it.)
The Rebel (反逆者) – Lin Nansheng, Chen Moqun
I have now received multiple terrific gift fics in this fandom, but I still want to read more! I would be happy with missing scenes/elaboration on canonical content (especially but not limited to the second Shanghai arc, uh, episodes 18 through 29?), canon divergence (keeping the general tone), outside POV, anything up to quasi-explicit fic for LNS/CMQ as lovers… these are very general prompts but I really am just eager to see more of Lin Nansheng and Chen Moqun together in various senses, and the way each of them changes and affects the other’s character, the intensity and magnetic pull and increasingly fucked-up loyalty between them and how it shifts them onto unexpected trajectories. In separate character terms, I love Lin Nansheng’s integrity and his sometimes ill-advised stubbornness, his combination of vulnerability and strength (this is kind of a Zhu Yilong hallmark and he pulls it off so, so well), and Chen Moqun’s pragmatism, his flaring temper that usually works against him, the way he can’t let go of/write off Lin Nansheng even when they’re openly enemies. Any other characters welcome too (I have a particular love for Wang Shi’an if you want to throw him in, but not required!).
Shadow of a Hero (Peter Dickinson) - Letta, Biddie, Steff, Van
I love this book so much. Given that the action takes place just as the Iron Curtain was coming down, Letta would now be pushing forty and her brothers in their fifties. What’s happening to them now—or at any time in the interim? Did Varina achieve independence, and how is it doing? How have the Ozolins siblings, and their extended family and friends, coped with the last few decades? Where did Letta choose to live and work, what is her life like--how much does Varina (along with its languages) play a part in her adult life? (I threw in Biddie because I like her dry, thoughtful, caring intelligence so much, and would be happy to see her and Letta still friends, or, if you feel like femslash, girlfriends/wives.) How and where did Van get his life restarted, after the events of the book worked such dramatic changes in him? Did he and Steff ever reconcile their differences? What goes on inside the quiet, self-controlled Steff, with the burden of the oldest child in this fraught family? Any or all of the above…
Teixcalaan Series (Arkady Martine) – Three Seagrass
I am very fond of both books, I love the people, I love the worldbuilding and the mixture of humor and pathos, I love the emphasis on language. Three Seagrass, poet and intriguer, is especially delightful and I was glad to have her POV in the second book; basically I would like more of her! Futurefic in particular would be great, but I will also happily take missing scenes, looks back into her past, you name it. Anything focusing on language, literature, building relationships would be especially lovely. Three Seagrass/Mahit would be great if you want to write it, any other characters very welcome too.
