The propaganda aspect is most fascinating. My first thought about the Farmboys show has always been whether the whole thing is meant to imply that sending young intellectuals out to forced farm labor in the 60s was a good idea. Three years in they'll break even and all is well. (Have they made profit yet? I only know they did not in season 1.)
