I saw somewhere—it must have been in one of the blessed Wenella’s interview videos, but I don’t remember which one—that the alien language in Zhu Yilong’s new film was made by modifying Chaozhouhua|Teochew|潮州话, on account of there were a bunch of Teochew speakers among the production staff? Somebody please find out more about this—I want to know what they did!

That is fascinating!!! I would love to hear more about it if you learn any more!

I just found out that a version of Star Wars: A New Hope just recently premiered that was dubbed into Ojibwe by native speakers.

And the pictures are lovely and fascinating as usual; I especially like the second staircase photo, because it's recognizably a staircase but also makes a wonderful abstract pattern, and the last photo, especially with your apt description!
